Bay Nature Hike: Las Gallinas Valley Birding Loop with Eric Schroeder
Description

Join Bay Nature and birder Eric Schroeder for a birding hike along the Las Gallinas Valley birding loop on Sunday, June 7 from 8:00-10:00 am. This walk will take us through tidal marsh, home to dozens of bird species. We should see various ducks and mergansers, herons and egrets, gallinules, and a variety of swallows, including nesting Cliff Swallows. We’ll also keep an eye open for rarities like the Least Bittern as well as one of the area’s newest residents — river otters. And while birding purists might not appreciate them, Mute Swans are now a permanent fixture at this birding hotspot and should have goslings when we visit.
